I CANcer Team to run Chicago Marathon

On Monday, May 20, Hawktober announced plans for a team of runners to represent the “I CANcer” initiative at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon®. At least four runners will take part in the 26.2 mile effort, including Hawktober founder Matt Cotcher. Read more

Life Changing

There are so many adjectives that are appropriate to describe my first marathon. From “transcendent” to “painful”, the marathon was an experience across the entire spectrum of human emotion.

Admittedly, that sounds hyperbolic and slightly self-aggrandizing, but that doesn’t make them inaccurate. Besides, if you really want to know how the marathon was, I’m going to leapfrog hyperbole and go straight to excessively pretentious.
